Mission Statement

"The goal of this organization is to provide education, promote awareness, and offer HOPE and encouragement for those families coping with breast cancer. HOPE is the assurance that one day we will be able to live cancer free!"

Women of Hope (Women Of Montgomery Embracing and Nurturing Hope Of Prevention and Eradication of breast cancer), a group of compassionate individuals, has come together to form an organization to support the various needs of breast cancer survivors and their family members. Not only breast cancer survivors but also spouses, children and caregivers fighting breast cancer seek support on a daily basis to cope with this devastating and life threatening disease. Women of Hope consists of caring volunteers that are equipped with the educational tools and community support for coping with emotional and physical changes during diagnosis and treatment. Women of Hope serves as an avenue of commitment and a stabilizing force for families struggling with the challenges of maintaining their normal routines.

Many Women of Hope members have first-hand experience with breast cancer and its devastating outcomes. This experience provides us with the insight necessary to most effectively utilize our resources to reach the thousands of women who seek support. Our empathy is an effective tool for supporting families and providing them with a living portrait of HOPE!

A woman lifted up by others is stronger than a woman standing alone!

Women of Hope (WOH) offers breast cancer support group meetings the 2nd Tuesday of each month, free of charge to all breast cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, friends, or anyone interested in becoming a part of our compassionate journey. We offer panels with our board physicians, speakers on health, nutrition, exercise and other related topics and you will hear personal stories presented by survivors. A time of "fellowship" encourages meeting others who are fighting the same battle. We encourage both men and women to embrace Women of Hope as we pledge to give HOPE, promote healing and advance our community for the cause!

WOH was founded to make a difference in the lives of those diagnosed with breast cancer. If we help just one person on their "new" journey towards a "new" life, then we have accomplished our goal to offer HOPE and encouragement where there may be none and to show these patients that there is live after breast cancer.

"In memory of those we have loved,

In honor of our loved ones today,

And in HOPE for those we will love in years to come!"
